As permitted by state law, the College of Charleston includes questions relative to any criminal background in our application process. The primary purpose of such screening is to ensure the safety of all our students while maintaining the institution's commitment to access and openness. The information provided will be used to consider your eligibility for admission, but will not necessarily disallow an offer of admission. An offer of admission will be reviewed and may be revoked if actions occur subsequent to an offer of admission or if we are informed of activities from other sources.

The College of Charleston policy on admitting applicants for enrollment with a criminal or disciplinary history can be found at: http://policy.cofc.edu.

Note: Any "Yes" response may prompt a criminal background check.
